Who operates this service

This site and its products are operated and sold by Cited Authorities LLC. Cited Authorities LLC is a software company. It is not a law firm, it does not provide legal services, and no attorney-client relationship is created by any purchase or use of this site or its products.

What the service provides

Tax Letter Scan identifies supported IRS notice codes and presents general educational information drawn from cited public sources. A paid Action Pack is a generic, printable checklist and recordkeeping kit for one supported notice family. It is not customized to your facts and does not include professional review, representation, filing, deadline monitoring, or communication with the IRS.

No professional advice or relationship

Nothing on this site or in an Action Pack is legal, tax, accounting, financial, or other professional advice. No attorney, certified public accountant, enrolled agent, or tax return preparer reviews your scan or pack. Use does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, tax-preparer, or other professional relationship, and the protections of an attorney-client relationship do not apply.

Your responsibility

Automated code recognition and general explanations can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. The paper notice and official instructions control. Check the code, dates, amounts, addresses, deadlines, and instructions on the notice itself, verify information against current official sources, and consult a qualified professional when your situation requires advice. Tax Letter Scan does not preserve or monitor any deadline.

Government and third-party services

Tax Letter Scan is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the IRS, the U.S. Treasury, the U.S. Tax Court, or any government agency. Links to government and third-party sites are provided for convenience. Stripe processes payments under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy; card details do not pass through this site.

Purchases and refunds

An Action Pack costs the price shown at checkout, is charged once, and is delivered immediately after Stripe confirms payment. There is no subscription. Because it is a digital product delivered immediately, refund requests are reviewed case by case, subject to applicable law. If a charge is incorrect or a purchased pack does not open, email team@taxletterscan.com with the recovery code from the Stripe receipt. Do not email your IRS notice or confidential tax information.

Acceptable use

You may use the service and a purchased pack for your own lawful, personal use. You may not interfere with the service, bypass payment controls, use automated means to overload it, resell a pack, or use the site to violate another person’s rights.

Availability and responsibility limits

The service is provided as available and may change or be interrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cited Authorities LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
